Based in London, Ian is the Signarus lead strategic business transformation expert in Microsoft 365 and 30-year veteran in leading positions across the IT industry, working with major corporate and private clients in Australia, China, Europe and North America. In this time, Ian designed global network services for major names like Cathay Pacific Airways, managed networks and operations for major business banks such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and led major business transformation programmes using new technology for UK Government, Universities and many global corporations.
In 2006, Ian invented and developed the first and only fully structured business consulting framework for Microsoft SharePoint which in 2012 was featured as a major innovation by Gartner™. This unique business/IT framework went on to be licensed and leveraged in many parts of the world by Microsoft Gold Partners and used by major organisations such as Dell.
Ian co-founded Signarus (originally Morgan & Wolfe Limited), a successful strategic Microsoft partner in London back in 2010. Prior to co-founding the company, Ian was responsible for many of the early Microsoft UK case studies in large SharePoint deployments (20,000+ users) leading to official case studies by Microsoft, Unisys and many other related software companies. It was his position as a business client that gave him a unique insight into the needs of clients leveraging Microsoft services and allowed him to develop the unique approach to Microsoft 365 success offered here.
In recent years Ian has led major implementations of Microsoft technologies for major global and international organisations in manufacturing, engineering, transportation, logistics, retail, beverages, the public sector, Government, packaging, oil and gas and construction sectors. Ian has helped developed new people compliance solutions for Microsoft 365 as well as a new Net Zero Pyramid™ methodology with Signarus.
Today Ian has very little left to prove in the Microsoft arena and now enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge with new clients. He has been a keynote speaker for Microsoft on multiple occasions; regularly published in many industry, business and trade journals and publications including Microsoft’s The Record. His no nonsense approach is legendary and ‘cutting to the nub of the issue quickly’ in a language anyone can understand is his forte. Some landmarks along the way perhaps include:
